The Shopper is the centrepiece of our founder Andrea's vision and a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. Designed by Brazilian designer Mayta Lara Leal, the bag combines her creative ideas with practical prototyping developed in the field. Together with ABURY, she spent two months with nomadic Berber tribes in the Marrakech region, infusing the design with local cultural influences and artisanal techniques. Our entire collection is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Marrakech using traditional methods and local materials such as goat leather. These materials not only reflect Moroccan culture, but are also in line with ABURY's commitment to fair and ethical production practices.
What makes the Shopper bag special is its seamless blend of practical design and elegant aesthetics. Its spacious main compartment offers plenty of room for personal items, making it ideal for weekend getaways. It also has a handy trolley strap and an easily accessible front pocket, perfect for keeping travel documents safe© All photos via ABURY
The Shopper is complemented by a removable inner pouch that serves a number of purposes. It's perfect as a small essentials bag for your phone, passport or other items you want to keep separate. Use the included straps to transform it into a chic crossbody bag - perfect for nights out or quick trips where the larger bag can be left at the hotel. For hands-free convenience, the bag can also be attached to your waist with the ABURY belt or any other belt, combining practicality with style.
