Every reality starts with a dream
At ABURY, we dream of a world where fashion not only radiates beauty but also serves as a powerful force for positive change. A world in which women everywhere can forge their own paths and live their dreams with self-determination. We work hand in hand with talented artisans to preserve traditional techniques and create beautiful high-quality design objects. Every bag and accessory sold helps make dreams come true, as all profits go directly to the projects of the ABURY Foundation.
ABURY Circle of Great Design
Style, quality and ethics go hand in hand; the true magic lies in their combination. Each handcrafted product carries a story that resonates with our hearts, where every stitch reflects our passion. We want to share these beautiful creations with you, in the hope that they will inspire your journey. By choosing to buy and wear them, you are giving hope and opportunity to the skilled artisans behind the work. This cycle symbolises our interconnectedness and represents a better future for all.
Our Second Home - Marrakech
In 2007, Andrea Bury traveled to Marrakesh for the first time—a journey that profoundly shaped her life. She spent several years living in the old town, immersing herself in its vibrant energy, rich culture, and traditions. During the renovation of a small city palace in the Medina (which you can explore here: www.anayela.com), she learned a great deal about the lives of the local people. She discovered the fading legacy of beautiful craftsmanship and the challenging economic realities faced by many women. This inspired the creation of ABURY—a mission to preserve exquisite artisanal traditions while ensuring fair income and education for the people behind them.
Special Bags
The Bag from the Movie "Traumfrauen"
In the film "Traumfrauen", Hannah Reimann, played by Karoline Herfurth, carries our golden ABURY Berber Bag and delivers the striking line: “This bag helps women in Morocco.” And it’s true: each bag supports women in realizing their dreams, creates jobs, and preserves traditional craftsmanship. A bag that is not only beautiful but has also become a symbol of empowerment and self-determination.
The Peace Clutch
After the Charlie Hebdo attack, we collaborated with Désirée Nosbusch to design the Peace Clutch—a symbol of intercultural peace. The bag is inscribed with the word Salam in Arabic script, meaning “peace.” With this bag, we aim to send a message of unity and understanding out into the world. Join us in spreading the message of peace and togetherness—each piece is a small step toward a more peaceful world.
