In an increasingly connected and dynamic world, we are constantly on the move - not just between meetings and the gym, but between cities, countries and adventures. Whether it's a spontaneous weekend getaway, a quick visit to friends or a business trip, our days are defined by flexibility and mobility. That's why we need a companion that can keep up: the perfect weekender.
The Inspiration for the ABURY Shopper Bag: Between Urban Hustle and Moroccan Culture
The inspiration for our ABURY Shopper Bag came from this very modern life that is always on the move. Mayta Lara Leal, one of our designers, spent some time living in the heart of vibrant Berlin and was inspired by its dynamic urban life. But it wasn't just the hustle and bustle of the city that influenced her. Her travels, particularly the time she spent with nomadic Berber tribes in Morocco, gave her a crucial insight: We are all urban nomads, searching for freedom, for a life of constant change - and we need a weekender that's more than just an accessory. A bag that accompanies us on this journey, that's functional and yet makes a statement about the freedom of the modern nomad.
Inspired by this idea, Mayta spent two months in Morocco working with talented artisans from the Atlas Mountains. The result is a black shopper bag and a brown shopper bag that combine elegance with practical functionality - perfect for the hustle and bustle of city life, business trips or relaxed weekend getaways.
A Design That Connects
The ABURY Shopper Bag is a tribute to the modern nomadic lifestyle. At the heart of the Shopper is a bag that does more - it accompanies us throughout the day, giving us a sense of freedom and independence. The design process focused on sustainable materials and close collaboration with local artisans, making the collection not only a functional companion, but also an expression of responsibility and sustainability.
Every stitch of the leather shopper is a story of travel, cultural encounters and the quest for a design that is not only practical but also a symbol of the freedom we find in movement.© Photo by ABURY
