Macrame Bags

What do our Macrame Bags have in common? That’s right, as the name suggests they are all handmade using a unique and traditional Macrame weaving technique. But that is not all: They are all statement pieces that will turn your outfit into an eye-catcher, expressing modern design combined with traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage, making sustainable fashion unquestionable.

Behind the Macrame Bag Collection stands Pam Samasuwo-Nyawiri. You might know her from the first edition of the ABURY Design Experience, which she won and thus travelled to Ecuador to design a collection. Launching a second collection designed by Pam makes us excited and proud at the same time. I mean, look at this collection! It underlines Pam’s professional, creative and meaningful journey as a designer, which brought her back to her roots, working with traditional artisans in her home country Zimbabwe.

All the Macrame Bags are handmade using traditional crafts techniques. They were born out of a collaboration with some of the best wire artists in Zimbabwe. With sustainability being an undeniable and crucial value of ours and Pam’s, this collection is made using recycled materials, including paracord and wire frames.

Want to show off at the next party, a city stroll, an elegant dinner or a business trip? Long tassels, beautiful weaving techniques, extravagant patterns and shapes – we got the recipe for you. You cannot go wrong with one of the unique Macrame Bags: Artisanal fashion statements with a beautiful story!
